I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book which starts in the present day but in which the main character, Charlie, is transported via his shed to Roman Britain. The story is a whodunit and manages to impart a lot of information about Romano -British life with a light touch.
Dialogue is cleverly used to move the action along and there are humorous asides from the main character which make him believable.
A good read!
