Following a trip to the Isle of Lewis, we became fascinated with the Callanish Standing Stones. We knew Richard’s work from a previous commission but I also knew this would be a harder ask because the stones had to be exactly right. I needn’t have worried, he got them perfectly. The one bit of artistic licence that he took only made the painting even better!
