An excellent, patient teacher

As a novice, with only my O Level art from decades ago to fall back on, I was a little nervous about painting landscapes in the Outwoods. However Richard made the whole process from preliminary sketches through to the finished painting very enjoyable. Richard creates a supportive and encouraging atmosphere and is an excellent, patient teacher. I refreshed my understanding of the fundamentals of perspective, of light and shade and how to mix an atmospheric acrylic palette of blues, greens and browns to capture the beautiful drifts of woodland bluebells. I am very pleased with the finished result. If you are looking a satisfying and relaxing painting experience, whatever your ability, Richard is wonderful and inspiring mentor.
